Theme

Capture the harmony of art and architecture through the beauty of the gallery.

Purpose

The Lin Xiang Xiong Art Gallery Photography Competition invites photography enthusiasts to capture the architectural beauty and surrounding essence of the gallery.
The competition aims to highlight the harmony between art and architecture. Outstanding works may be selected for exhibition at the gallery to promote photography and cultural appreciation.

Competition Period

  • Start Date: 1 March 2026
  • Closing Date: 31 May 2026
  • Duration: Three (3) months.

  • All submissions must be received by the closing date.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted.

    1st Prize: RM 5,000
    2nd Prize: RM 3,000
    3rd Prize: RM 2,000
    Merit Prize (10 Winners): RM 500
    Consolation Prize (20 Winners): RM 250

  • All prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
  • Certificates will be awarded to all winners.

Eligibility

The competition is open to the public aged 18 years and above.

  1. Each participant must submit one set of five (5) photos with different themes presented as a series.
    Single photo submissions will not be accepted.
  2. Participants may submit multiple sets of entries.
    Each set must contain five (5) photos.
  3. File Requirements:
    • Format: JPEG
    • Resolution: 300 dpi or above
    • Size: 8 × 12 inches
  4. File Naming Format:
    YOUR NAME_Set1-1.jpg
  5. All submissions must strictly adhere to the specified format and size requirements.
  6. The use of flash photography is strictly prohibited within the gallery premises to protect the artworks and exhibition environment.

By submitting an entry, the participant grants the Art Gallery the right to use the submitted work for both non-commercial and commercial promotional purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Catalogues
  • Online platforms
  • Exhibition prints
  • Media advertisements

This usage is without further notice or additional remuneration.
Participants must be the original creators and copyright owners of the submitted works.
By entering the competition, participants grant the Organiser the right to:

  • Exhibit
  • Publish
  • Use the works for promotional and publicity purposes

Proper credit will be given to the photographer.

  • Registration and entry submission must be completed via Google Form.

  • Photos must be uploaded via Synology NAS.
    (Submission link will be provided after submitting the enrolment form.)

  • The Organiser reserves the right to request the original, unedited RAW file (or original JPEG file with full metadata) for verification purposes.
  • Participants must provide the requested original file within the specified timeframe upon notification.
  • Failure to provide the original file may result in disqualification.
  • Any evidence of manipulation beyond the permitted editing guidelines may lead to immediate disqualification.


Terms & Conditions

  • The competition is open to the public aged 18 years and above.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to manage and administer all aspects of the competition.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to amend the competition prizes, rules, terms, and conditions with reasonable notice. By participating, participants agree to accept and abide by these terms.
  • The judges’ decision is final and binding on all matters related to the competition. No correspondence will be entertained.
  • Participants agree to be interviewed and photographed by the Organiser for promotional purposes. Submitted works may be featured on the Organiser’s Facebook page or other appropriate media platforms.
  • Participants must be the original creators and copyright owners of the submitted works.
  • Participants are responsible for their own transportation, meals, and any incidental expenses related to the competition.
  • The Organiser shall not be held liable for any losses or damages should the official events be cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled for any reason.
